Position Summary/Purpose

The purpose of the role is support the development of the marketing plan and execute marketing initiatives to meet business and revenue objectives for Hexagon PPM in Japan. Responsibilities span across marketing communications, PR, event/trade show management, product marketing, market research, online marketing and advertising.


The role will work closely with the local sales team, regional and global marketing.

Responsibilities/Main Activities

  • Support the development and execution of marketing plan for region (lead gen, retention, cross sell/upsell)
  • Execute marketing programs using both outbound or inbound tactics and channels
  • Event management (roadshows, tradeshows, user events)
  • PR management and coordination (press releases, case studies, articles)
  • Marketing collateral production and management
  • Write and produce content for newsletters, blogs, brochures, websites, webinars
  • Support channel partners with marketing requirements
  • Conduct market and competitive analysis and present summary reports.
  • CRM and data management
  • Reporting on marketing metrics and KPIs
  • Manage vendors and perform other administrative duties

Qualifications and Experience Required

  • BSc/BA in marketing, communications or equivalent
  • Proven experience as marketing specialist or similar role
  • Thorough understanding of marketing channels and tactics (including traditional and digital marketing such as SEO/Social media etc.) and market research methods
  • Strong marketing and business acumen
  • Exceptional communication and writing skills
  • Strong computer skills, including MS Office, marketing software (Adobe Creative Suite), SFDC and applications (Web analytics, Google Adwords etc.)
  • Initiative and willingness to learn new processes & tasks
  • Well-organized and detail oriented
  • Commercial awareness partnered with a creative mind
  • Good command of English, both spoken and written is required

  • Marketing contribution to pipe (marketing as lead source): 10% of sales all QO
  • Event ROI at 10x investment
  • Influence 20% of sales deals
  • Demand generation: 1 integrated campaign (multi-channel) per quarter
  • Achieve page #1 ranking on Google Japan in 12 months for PIM, Project Controls
  • Exec engagement: 1 x C-level event per H (Connect event)
  • Customer drum beat: 1 case study, project profile or customer testimonial per quarter
