Position Summary/Purpose

This position will have full of Sales operational responsibility for the Marine business. Manages overall Sales business activities. Activities include, but are not limited to, Sales, Sales management, financial analysis and reporting, contract coordination, customer relations, administration, as well as coordinating the development of the marine business organization’s strategic and annual business plan.


Under the guidelines and policies provided by hexagon management, this individual will ensure that activities proceed according to directives. Establishes plans and schedules to meet objectives. Close working relationship with VP Hexagon PPM Intergraph Korea concerning projects, operational decisions, scheduling requirements or contractual clarifications.


Responsibilities/Main Activities

  • Arrange / conduct product & solution presentations, demonstrations and coordinating the preparation of Sales proposals, tenders/bids, contracts and Account (or Industry) Management plans.
  • Coordinating, conducting and participating in Sales promotions, campaigns, events and displays.
  • Assessing potential partners, performing competitive research, evaluating proposed deals/partnerships and analyzing and developing business cases for new business targets.
  • Developing new products, services or solutions by combining several existing products/services and generating leads to establish a corresponding market sector in order to gain new business for Hexagon PPM. Expand Company’s solutions portfolio to existing accounts and develop new accounts in assigned territory and industry.
  • Keeping abreast of competitor's Sales strategies. Ensuring that agreed business strategies are implemented
  • Negotiating contracts in accordance with Hexagon PPM’s policies.
  • Liaising with PPM pre-sales , technical Support and Marine overlay staff regarding technical sales support and issues to ensure client retention and continued business expansion .
  • Capture and updating of account plan and progress in SFDC

Qualifications and Experience Required

  • Proven Sales ability including outstanding negotiation skills, persuasive ability and excellent communication skills and experienced operational and P/L responsibility.
  • Expert product and industry knowledge with reference to technical solutions in the process industry (Marine
  • Ability to deal with clients at all levels and translate client needs into a complete solution.
  • Over 7 years of software sales or consulting experience for a large enterprise software organization. Solution provider to the Marine industry background may also be qualified with relevant tertiary qualifications.
  • Must live close to Marine environment – Busan / Ulsan/ Goeje area and possess a valid driving license and able to travel within short notice.
  • Strong result orientation with meet the targets for revenue and sense of accountability with pro-active feedback participation
  • Good Presentation capability
  • Verbal and written English maintained at a business standard
  • Capture and updating of account plan and progress in SFDC

Current KPI Requirements


  • Expanding Hexagon PPM’s footprint in the Marine market in Korea by generating sales for SmartPlant solutions and services, along with other products as required.
  • Identifying and developing new business through a sustained program of prospect targeting and following up referrals/leads.
  • Understanding the customer's business strategies and objectives, power base buying criteria and decision-making processes and forming long term business partnerships in order to leverage revenue from the relationship and promote Hexagon PPM as a quality partner with the aim of achieving trusted advisor status.


  • Enhance and expanding Marine Business in Korea with Hexagon PPM’s solutions and services, along with other products as required.
